How we started
From small family business to the company of choice for high quality, innovative, and efficient commercial kitchens. Thirty years ago, Salix was started as a fabrication business from our founders home county of Essex. They employed just one metalworker and the first job Salix had was to make a panel for the fascia on the front of the Savoy.
Now, Salix employs 40 people and has built up a reputation for designing and manufacturing exceptional commercial kitchens and bars for some of the best-known names in the food and drinks industry.

Salix has designed kitchens for The Gilbert Scott in St Pancras, The OGC Stadium in Nice, 1 Hotel in London’s Mayfair, Milsom Hotels & Restaurants, Grind Coffee and The Social Group, owned by Jason Atherton. We have worked closely with some amazing Chefs, Claude Bosi, Dan Doherty, Adam Byatt, Tom Sellers, Hamish Brown, Michael Caines and Chantelle Nicholson to name but a few!
Salix also works with high-profile retail clients across the UK and Europe providing hospitality aspects to their businesses.

From the start, Salix has been driven by the desire to deliver above and beyond clients’ expectations, whether that’s designing a bespoke shaped kitchen to fit a curved space, welding and constructing on site, or working overnight to beat a challenging deadline.
